Michelle, pituitary bio

I am 38 and have recently had a pituitary tumor removed.  The doctors advised that it was Cushing's.

I have battled my weight for many years along with depression, migraines and fertility problems.  I have moon face, the "fatty" hump on my back and most of my weight centers my mid section.  I have been treated for insulin resilence and was thought to have PCOS.

Since having the tumor removed, I am slowly getting my cortisol levels back to where they need to be.  I am finally relieved to know what was causing my problems.  It was very frustrating to be treated for many things and not get any relief.

I just pray that people become more aware of this disease and start getting tested.  It was not until my fertility doctor requesting a MRI to check my pituitary that we found the tumor.  I am grateful that we were able to locate it and take care of it.
