Enza, adrenal bio

Hi, My name is Enza Scalia.

I have just been diagnosed with Cushing's disease. My doctor explained that I have 2 growths - one very tiny one in pituitary and the other on the adrenal gland. He believes that it is the adrenal tumour that is causing the havoc. We are currently looking for a surgeon that will take my case and remove the adrenal. I get panic attacks right now because I keep coming up with questions that are left unanswered,

Right now my symptons are fatigue, joint pains especially in the knees and also on my spine, I bruise easy, high blood pressure, moon face and gained weight. I weigh more now than when I was pregnant and at that time I had gained 45 pounds. If I try to exercise, I don't feel well but walking is really fine as long as I don't go up hills. And my digestion system is completely out of whack.

I have been followed by an internal medecine specialist, I believe that I should now start looking for an endocronoligist for followup after surgery. I would appreciate any advise you can give me. Thank you

I have just been diagnosed for Cushing's disease ( a tumour on my adrenal gland). I live in Gatineau, Quebec. I am being referred to Montreal for surgery, but they still have to find a surgeon. I am terrified.

I believe the surgery will be performed using minimal invasive surgery. I have read a few articles and they say that patients may often feel worse after the surgery than when they still had Cushing's disease. I am not sure what to expect.

I would like to join this support group and get as much information as I can. Thank you for any help you can provide.
