hi friends this is kripal a recently diagnosed cushie.

friends i have been through a lot of strss over the past few years as no one was able to diagnose my disease. it started about five years ago when my heart started beating louder  and faster with a severe chest pain .At first i thought it to be angina pectoris .

I immedietly went to a heart hospital where ecg was done which came normal .the doctor told me that it was just due to stress and diagnosed as tachyardia. after that i started feeling the same synptoms every now and then .i started having gastric disturbances ans severe chest pains . no one was able todiagnose why was this happenig to me. moat of the doctors started to give my problem a psychlogical touch. But only I knew that i was mentally fit.

Before I go further let me tell you that i had developed strech marks on my shoulders when I was twelve years old and I was alsohaving severe pimples allround my face since then and I was also becoming very much short temperd. But i had never gained excess weight or you can say the typical cusignoid features but yes i have always been healthy since the onset of those strech marks. I was always a good sportsman .I had no difficulty in running or climbing.

Now I am twenty seven years old . As I told you that  I was suffering from gastric disturbances over the past few years so I was told tohave a ultrasonography where a 2cm tumor was found on my right adrenal.

From here my journey started I was told by my doctor to see a endocrinologist . Then I went to AIIMS where I got admitted and the doctors started several blood tests . I also underwent a ct scan and an MRI that alsoconfirmed the tumor.

Firstly they started to check my basal cortisol and ACTH which always came back normal. So  they went on totohave a low dose dexamethasone suppression test . The doctors were quiet confident that ihe test report would be normal as I was not having the typical cuhingnoid features but to their amagement it came back soaring high. So they again did a high dose dexamethasone suppression test which again came back high. The doctors were also pretty much confused as towhy my basalcortisol was normal but I was not able to supress.

They thought it to be a case of cyclic cushing syndrome and they started to check my basal cortisol every day and they found one abnormal value ,They adviced me to go for the surgery. Now my symptoms are I am gaining weight , my stomach looks swollen along with my face , ihave swollen ankle joints , fungal infections under my thighs .

But I am still very much confused that why it started to give me pain after so much time as I had developed strech marks and severe pimples since my childhood? Can any one help me out?
