Hi my name is Melissa. I am 31 years old and I was diagnosed with pituitary dependent Cushing's disease in May of 1996 when I was 17.
Since then I have had 2 pituitary surgeries to remove the tumor. Thirty radiation treatments on my pituitary. Three attempts at a bilateral adrealectomy with only one adrenal being removed.
I am now at a point were my doctor is not sure what to do next. My cortisol levels are now normal, but my ACTH is about 4 times the normal limit.
I am about ready to give up on ever being cured.
