Sharon, adrenal bio

Hi, everyone!  My name is Sharon and I am from Carrollton, Ga.

I had a radical bi-lateral adrenalectomy in 1985.  The doctors all said I would feel better within 6 months. HA! I have never lost any weight and still have all of the "prime symptoms" of Cushing Syndrome!

The doctors that I have seen since my surgery, just say, "at least you are still alive!" I am still trying to find a physician in the metro Atlanta, Georgia that understands and treats Cushings or "adrenal insufficeincy".  I have read so many bios of more recent  cases, and see that you have regained your life back that you had before surgery.  To this date, I have not regained any of my "good" life!!!!!

If anyone has any updated information that I can use to find out what i really going on, I would greatly appreciate your input.  I am so thankful that I  have found this site.  I am also on Facebook.

I continue to have severe adrenal crisis every year and these are NO fun.

" This was the one website i kept returning to thru out my journey with cushings. Thank you Mary O for providing a support center and a plethera of information on this rare disorder! It was so helpful to be able to talk to people and to know that I was not alone! This site and all the people involved in it helped me stay strong and also realize that i was lucky..that many people had endured much more..it gave me hope to know that i could get thru it! It also allowed me to be more knoweledgeable about my disease. Thanks again! "
