I am 26 years old from Bosnia. I am blessed that my family and i survived and were given the opportunity to come to the USA. I've worked hard all my life to graduate from college and establish a carreer for myself. I worked full time and attended college full time so that i could reach my goal and make something out of myself. I had migranes, high blood pressure, cholesterol etc but though it was all because of lack of sleep and just simply stress of life until last year when things got worse.
I started to gain weight and my health just wasnt getting better. October 2011 i went to see an endochrinologist and was diagnosed with Cushings Disease. December 2011 i had my first Transsphenodial surgery which was unsuccessful. A month later, January 2012, i had my second Transsphenodial surgery, unsuccessful again.
Now I am at the point of making a big decision, a possible 3rd transsphenodial surgery or have the adrenal glands removed. I've gotten opinions from other doctors but am just confused on what to do.
I just want to be healthy and live my life to the fullest. I am greatful and happy to be able to receive treatment but it is hard and frustrating when things just dont seem to be getting better.
I've had every comlication there is in the past 4 months but I am surviving and trying to stay strong.
