I am a 41 yy female. Officially diagnosed with Cushing's in Feb. 2010.
I had a mis-diagnosis of Adrenal Hyperplasia previously from a previous endocrinologist. Once I found the right endocrinologist who listened to me, I was diagnosed with a pituitary tumor 4 mos later. I had trans-phenoidal surgery on March 7 2011. ( MY NEW birthday!)
My recovery was difficult, I didn't know what to expect and I had no one to turn to. I wished I had seen this site before!
I am now steroid-free. and at my August 2011 appt, just 6 mos post-op. My neuro-surgeon said " You have a VIRGIN brain!"
