I am an active 38 year old that was diagnosed with Cushings (adrenal) Aug of 2010 and had my adrenalectomy in Oct 2010.  I was very lucky in that my diagnosis was straight forward after I started seeking testing.

Strangely my Mom had Cushings (Pituitary) about 15 years ago.  It was that experience that made my seeking testing very simple.  I am hear to tell folks that there is hope -- and it is not all terrifying.

I am back to "normal" less than 12 months since surgery.  I lost 40lbs and have fully tapered off hydrocortisol.  My experience is not the norm if you read most of these blogs, but it's important for me to let people know that there ar successful, fairly quick recoveries.
