I am a 52 year old hispanic female  officially diagnosed with Cushing's disease in November 2010, but  beleive to have had the disease for over eight years,

In the year 2002 my primary care Physician discovered I had a tumor on the Adrenal Gland, I had several Ultrasounds, MRI's and  tests done and was later referred to an Endocrinologist .

For several years I continued to be seeing by this Endo and was told that because the tumor on adrenal gland was so small there was no need to have it removed the Endo continued to monitor the size of the tumor every six months.   I continued to feel sick and frequently was having extremely painful headaches,  I had several MRI's of the brain done and told there was nothing wrong with me, several times I felt as if all these Physicians thought I was making all this up,

I  had all the symptoms of Cushing's Disease  except for the stretch marks in the abdomen,  I don't have one single one, I  had all the tests necessary to confirm the diagnosis and  had surgery on May 4, 2011, it has only been 4 months since my surgery but I feel tired, I am having joint pain, extremely thisty and  also have neck pain.

Sometimes I feel so alone, and have no one who I can relate to.  I feel frustrated,  I don't know what is normal and what isn't anymore, everything happened so quick, from the moment I was diagnosed to the day of the surgery, I went back to work  full time five weeks after my surgery, but some days I feel so extremely tired and it is so hard to get thru the day,

I am so thankful to the Lord , he answered my prayers when I finally found this website, I am learning more about Cushing's Disease but feel I have a long ways to go. I hope I can get some answers from everyone and look forward to be able to help others with my experiences.  I speak spanish and english
