Cushing's Info

My name is Mary. I am mother to a 16-year-old boy with Cushing’s Disease whose symptoms first appeared at the age of 13.

I am a big fan of podcasts and have really enjoyed listening to CushingsHelp interviews over the last couple of weeks. I am just starting to explore this website and hope to share the details of our story because it is in some ways pretty different from those I’ve been hearing.

We live in the San Francisco Bay Area. David had a pituitary surgery on March 18th that did not bring him relief. This Tuesday, August 2, he will have a second surgery at a different facility with a different surgeon.

We have reason to hope for a better outcome this time but, given our own experiences thus far as well as all of yours, we are braced for the worst.
