My Daughter is 11 years old and has been struggling with weight her whole life, no matter what we do she just keeps gaining weight

so after years of fighting with the doctors that something had to be wrong, I had them  test for pcos, thyroid etc, all were neg except her insulin levels were through the roof so she has been on metformin now for 8 months and it reduced her appetite by half but the weight is stil packing on

she was 135 pounds in 2009 now she is 175 pounds, so again I brought her in for a ohysical and my daughter was complaing of the back pain and neck pain she was having again this has been going on for a year and she said to the doctor there is this bump on my neck , so the doc looks and tells me this looks like it coul be from cushings, so needless to say we have gone for more bloodwork and a 24hr cortisol test and i have no results yet but I was pretty sure the doc sais if it was cushings it could be treated by medicine and I have yet to see that anywhere I have been looking online, so I am here reaching out for answers as to is this cureable with medicine or is it surgery and lifelong medication, I am scared to death right now hence why I am writing this at 2:10 in the morning.

Please Help me!!!!

Dawn, have you found anything out yet if it is cushings or not? How frightening. My daughter is 20 and I need her checked as she has been on cortacosteroids (spelling) for allegy asthma and I see symptoms of weight gain, fatty neck, etc. Let me know.
