Elvera, steroid-induced Cushing's |
|
been on prednisolone 7.5 mgs for 25 years. not sure what my diagnosis should be. doctor has me registered as chronic pulminary disease. i have had moon face. but as i have been reducing my steroid intake the face isnt so swollen now. i dont have any problems with my back or blood glucose levels. my b pressure goes up when i have to take extra prednisolone.
i was able to be steroid free for about two weeks after reducing for about a year and being practically housebound due to fatigue. i am at present on 6mgs as i had a bout of flu and am having to reduce slowly again. asthma holds me back a bit. my initial use of steroids came after an illness doctors couldt understand so they pumped me full of steroids to save my life but it damaged my adrenal glands. no history of asthma before this

" Mary-I am absolutely certain that I would not still be alive today if it wasn't for you and your work. And I am sure there are many other people who have the same sentiment that I do. In life, I don't think we thank or appreciate those who help us, nearly enough. But I know that your rewards in Heaven are going to be great for all the good you have done, and everyone you have helped. So, thank you! If you were not here you would be greatly missed by many! "
