Redone: Thanks to a suggestion by Patrick, this site now had a "template chooser". It now automatically detects your device and chooses the alternate template for you. If you are on a cellphone, this site should have already loaded a special template optimized for PDAs and mobile phones.

• Donation Tracker on the message boards so that people can easily see how the donations are going and add a one-time donation from that "app".
• Success Stories! These will be culled from the bios and posts on the message boards. Personal Information will not be shared without member permission.
• A section of "Male-Only" bios. 2007 through 2010 have been done so far. Older pre-2007 adrenal and ectopic bios have been added. Names A through D of the older pituitary bios have been added now.
• Live Talk / Video Chat at the bottom right of each page in the stationary toolbar. Please note that you need to obtain a password to enter and a second to broadcast video. Please contact MaryO on Facebook or the message boards for this password.
• Each article on this site allows for reader comments and suggestions.
• The Cushing's Boards are finished with a major upgrade and facelift. The forums are optimized for viewing on cellphones.

The Cushing's Help and Support Group has been upgraded to the new groups format, which makes it easier for members to connect and share. There are 623 members.

SusanM:Amazing Website After twenty-seven years and having seen 14 endocrinologists, I found this website. I travelled to see one of the doctors on the helpful doctors list and diagnosed with Cushings Disease. The MRI the next day confirmed the tumor on the pituitary gland.
I learned much from this site. I learned that it takes patience and persistence with this disease. I also learned that a patient must be put through a full testing protocol to rule in or rule out Cushings. I also learned that there is much to be learned by the medical profession about this disease that is not widely known.

MoxieMelissa: The best source of Cushing's help on the whole wide world wide web! I owe my life to MaryO, who founded the Cushing’s Help website and its message boards over 10 years ago after suffering with Cushing’s disease herself. MaryO set forth to create an online community that was lacking when she sought her cure.
I have met many shining souls and made incredible friends participating on the Cushings-Help.com message boards in the past four years. We were lost without each other. We each came to the message boards new and scared. We leaned on each other, as we ran everything about our experiences through these people – these new-found and desperate friends who were in the same boat as us. We learned from each other. Together, we shared our stories of terrible doctors’ appointments where we were dismissed as fat and lazy. We celebrated every high test result, every clearance for surgery, and all the other details that move us forward on the journey for this disease. In this community, we found the strength to keep fighting to get cured from the disease that we were sure we had but others weren’t. We Cushies have faced seemingly insurmountable odds, and we have done so together.
Our fury and outrage male us determined to protect future undiagnosed Cushies from all of our heartaches and woes. We hold a strong desire to create a powerful online community, and in 2008 many of us started personal blogs. My http://CushingsMoxie.blogspot.com is my platform for outreach, and to date, my blog has been over 128,000 pages views. I am glad to do my part.
I learned from people who had been in my shoes. It was only through struggles with doctors and testing to diagnosis to surgery -- with this process often repeated multiple times unfortunately -- and eventually to healing and happiness that I learned what this disease is, how it truly presents itself today (not 20 years ago), how it affects the people who have it, and how to best guide myself through the quagmire. Because of MaryO's compassionate vision and my fellow Cushies’ guidance and support on the message boards, I have steered myself to diagnosis twice for a disease that most have never heard of and doctors consider too rare. I just can't even imagine where I would be without the Cushings-Help.com site.
New here and confused, started with uncontrolled hypothyroidism and now just heard the words cushings whispered after recent blood results, only thing I got told was eosinophil is 10.9.
